what is the difference between these two kind of record players?

Dj/mixer starter info

It sort of has this scratchy sound to it now.. is that the sign?

I collect vinyls, and I used to play them on my grandparents old record player, but they sold it a a few days ago. I reaaally don't want to use Ebay, so if anyone knows any places or sites that sell them, that'd be great.

Where can i find a record player in stores? I live in Fort Collins, CO... are there record players at a goodwill or a different antique store? where else could there be one?

I have a Technics record player model SL-BD20D and I am wanting to hear my records the only problem is the motor sounds funny. I put the belt in, but don't know if I did it right. Please respond so I can listen to my records! Thanks Jenn

From what I can understand it was made in 1984. I have one in my possession and I'm ready to put it up on ebay, but I don't know how much it's worth.

I am new to this hobby and was in the process of recapping, and replacing the electrolylics of a philco 50-620. I was almost done except for connecting one neg wire that comes from two electroylics. I lost my place and don't know where it connects to. I have the schmatic but can't follow it :( Is there anyone out there I can send a pic of the chasis wiring and the schmatic and help me to figure this out? thoughts?

(Bonus points if you have actually used the 33/45/78 feature??)

I'm trying to find a record player online that is pretty good but not too expensive. And also a good site to find records. Can anybody help?

I have a stereo, Comcast, DVD recorder, and TV. I want to be able to record movies on the DVD player from my TiVO, or straight from cable how do I run the cables?

Looking for a chain possibly, or just something local where I can find a record player. New or used is fine. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio.
i'm looking for a place where i know for sure that they'll have one, in-out-and done.

when they were using a record player .What was one of the last 45 records you listen to . Or purched be foe you Purched your frist cd,

So I got a Memorex record player for Christmas this past year and it worked fine for months. Recently, it has gained a flaw though. When I put on a record, it'll be fine for a bit but then it will speed up and play fast, then slow down a bit later on. So basically, sometimes it just speeds up and I don't know why. Can you help?

I have an old music box that plays a beautiful tune. I've never heard this tune anywhere else, so I don't know what it's called or who composed it.

Would you please listen to it and try to identify it for me?

I'm planning a 1950's wedding but am having trouble envisioning what it will be like. I don't want it to be about juke boxes, poodle skirts, and music notes. I'd like something a little more formal but can't figure out what. Does anyone have any ideas for:

1. Decorations
2. Favors
3. Music source - record player, dj, CD player hidden beneath table, ect.
The wedding and reception will be here: http://www.hamlinhouserestaurant.com/Weddingpage.html

I can't play thru some recorded dvd's because the screen freezes after a while of playing. I am just confused if the laser lens is dirty because it can play thru (all the way) these originally recorded dvd movies.

I have quite an old record player that I would like to have repaired...Any help and/or contacts would be greatly appreciated.

I found an old portable record player, put a disk on there and turned the disk with my hand manually. Music started coming out. How?
It plugs into the wall. But don't the speakers at least need power? There isn't a battery in there..
Actually I don't think it's coming from the speaker. It actually seems to be coming from the needle.
But it's just a tiny needle. How can it act as a relatively loud speaker while also reading the grooves in the disk?
Now I'd taken a push pin and used that as a needle. same effect. That's really strange!

I was cleaning my garage and found a whole bunch of unlabeled beta tapes. Some may have some sentimental stuff I want , but most of them are probably junk. ( ie the last half of South Pacific ).
I could go and have them all put on disc but that gets too expensive for the mostly junk. I've checked with tape and recording companies to see if anyone has an old beta player.. Also checked antique and junk stores.. Any suggestions.

Does anybody know if i buy a record player or thingy thats a radio and stuff can i dj on it if it says it has a turn table???

It also has diagram for location of 4 tubes, under this is ;Manufactured By Victor Company of Japan Limited,Tokyo,Japan. There is a small stamp off to the right side about the size of a dime, it has (similar to this)~~~~~~ across the middle &above this is a symble of sorts with Japanese writing below. These stamps are in red ink. Size of cabinet is about 2'wide,3'long & 1 1/2' deep, with 4 wood legs. Every thing works & it is in perfect condition. Please help,if any one knows anything about antiques!!!! I need all the info i can get, its age and value.
