I have an antique console radio that was my grandmas and I can't find out any information on it. The only markings on it is that it was made in salt lake city, utah and on the front dial it shows 'radiotrofe'. If I can find out a manufacturer and year it would be helpful. Any info. would be appreciated. Thanks.

ive been wanting to get her something that would really catch her eye...can anyone help me?
The way I see it,I've seen and heard it all when it comes to DJs in hip-hop. Now,in turntablism, we all know the basics-scratching,mixing,backspinning,beat juggling, and the most advanced of all-body tricks. Turntablism has played a very important role in hip-hop. Today,I have came across something new,and that is experimental noise turntablism, which leads me to this question-what is the difference between hip-hop DJs and experimental noise DJs? I know that the hip-hop DJs scratch and mix for turntablist battles. As for experimental noise DJs, I would figure these DJs would mess up the mix and the song by making silly sounds on the turntables, just by fooling around with the records-and not doing a serious DJ mix. Noise music is something I would like, especially when I would record myself switching channels on the radio, place the cassette in my tape recorder, and mess around with the speed control to see how the music sounded when it's warped or distorted. And then I would constantly press the rewind, play, and fast-forward buttons to make it sound like turntables. I think that experimental noise DJs would make their mix sound like a broken tape recorder that is eating up the tape. But then again,I could be wrong. So,please tell me,what's the real scoop behind this new sound of music?
I bought a "Retro Record and CD Player". It's new, you can buy them at Toys R Us and online. Well, it's playing all of the Disney read-along stories just fine... but a few records that are in PERFECT condition will not play without the needle digging into the record and creating a horrible scratching noise and creating this dusty particle stuff from the scratching. Why is it that it plays some fine and not others that are in great condition and the right speed and all? What can I do?
Any help?
What was the phonograph and why would someone want to buy it?
Wired magazine had a short article on this device, so it does exist. Five years ago, it was not for sale. They wanted ,000. Do any stores or catalogues sell it now?
I purchased a Crosley record player in July. I do not use it often, maybe once or twice every two weeks. Lately, however, all of my records, including new ones, sound muffled and fuzzy. Whats the problem? If it is the stylus/needle, 1.How do i remove it 2. Where can I get a new one from? Could it be something other than the needle?
1. it was working fine until recently
2. it was bought from a department store in july...no receipt
I have a Zenith Radio Wave-Magnet Model T505 and I'm wondering how much it is worth. It is in working condition and in very good shape. I would like to get either how much my radio is worth in value, or a good site for checking on how much old antique radios such as mine are. Thanks in advance...
My father in law has an old J. Chein Disney Melody player.
Not much is known about it. It's in great shape, Tin,has disney characters painted on it. has a crank handle. Plays nice music and the scrolls are changeable. It looks like a very rare toy and we were wondering how much it could sell for. We were geussing it's from the 1930's. and I know J. Chein made alot of tin toys back then. can someone please help!?
What is the piece that you put in the middle of a 45 record to be able to play on a regular record maching?
I can't remember the name and I need one and thought I'd do a search for one but can't remember what they're called!!??
and if you know where i can buy one, that would be cool too!
I have an old blaunkpunt record player (c. 1965) and Im unsure of how to play records on it. I think the link between the record player and speakers may be broken or I just don't know how to use it correctly
